The idea to turn my hobby into a business started when a friend of mine was approached by the owner of a children's boutique. Her daughter was wearing a hat I had made for her and caught the eye of the shop owner. To make a long story short....The store owner wanted to know where she had gotten her daughter's hat and before I knew it the boutique was carrying my stuff! That event seemed to trigger an overwhelming amount of interest in the hats and accessories that I was making. Everywhere I went I seemed to have complete strangers coming up to me asking about the things my kids were wearing. Over time, it became clear that this was my calling and it was then The Little Stitch came to life!
I was born and raised in Southern California and still live here today with my husband and two children. I married Rick in October of 2007. He is from the Chicago area and moved to California to start a business after finishing college. We met by chance one Saturday night while out with friends and have been inseparable ever since. We didn't wait long to start our family as our first child Ray was born in 2008 and our daughter Reese followed two years later. Ray is skating through the toddler years and entertains us everyday with his exuberant personality. Reese is just breaking her first tooth and gaining independence with her newly discovered army crawl. They keep our lives extremely fulfilling and very busy!
